Responsibilities:

  • Maintained patient records in the electronic medical record (MedAccess) system
  • Answers inquiries by phone and in person in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner
  • Maintains provider schedules by booking appointments and processing referrals as required
  • Manages faxing prescriptions according to office protocol
  • Assists patients with patient portal and online registration
  • Scanned patient records and electronically filed them accordingly
  • Manages incoming and outgoing electronic faxes and mail
  • Coordinates patient care throughout the clinic; arriving patients, escorting patients to exam room, preparing exam rooms for minor procedures as needed, and turning over exam rooms
  • Performed and recorded results for various lab tests done at the clinic, such as urinalysis and occult stool tests, Pregnancy tests.
  • Utilize the autoclave to sterilize equipment as required
  • Handles sensitive medical information and follows regulations regarding confidentiality
  • Completes tasks requested by physicians for patient care (calls, messages, forms, etc.)

Requirements:

- Medical Office Assistant Diploma/Certificate

  • Prefer someone who can speak English fluently.
  • Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred, Open for Newly Graduate too
  • Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with patients

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
