Operations Manager

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of a growing Medical Transportation service provider in Edmonton. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a background in transportation, healthcare logistics, or operational management. This role is responsible for overseeing service delivery, managing fleet operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong operational mindset, capable of managing logistics, motivating teams, and driving continuous improvement in a regulated service environment.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Lead and manage daily transportation operations with a focus on safety, reliability, and client satisfaction
- Manage scheduling, dispatch, and logistics for both healthcare providers and individual clients
- Lead, train, and support drivers and staff to uphold exceptional service standards
- Ensure fleet maintenance and regulatory compliance across all vehicles and equipment
- Create and optimize standard operating procedures to enhance workflow and efficiency
- Monitor performance metrics and budgets, and implement initiatives for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and operational enhancements
- Act as a professional representative at industry events and cultivate strong relationships with healthcare partners
Your strengths include:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Transportation, Logistics, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in operations management within transportation, healthcare, or related sectors
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage logistics, and ensure compliance in a regulated environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization
- Familiarity with medical services, healthcare systems, or medical logistics is an asset
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to participate in field operations and ride-alongs
