Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position $ $79627. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.

Join Our Team as a Desktop and Network Support Coordinator

S&C Electric Canada is seeking a dynamic individual to join the IT team. This role will report to the Manager - Information Technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and software-related concerns from clients.
  • Create and maintain documentation for troubleshooting and using software and hardware.
  • Respond to, prioritize, and provide detailed reports for technical support requests.
  • Identify and assess support issues for cause, resolution, and potential trends. Escalate as necessary.
  • Install and maintain computing hardware and software solutions that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
  • Research the latest products, services, and standards as they best meet the needs of the business.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on the most effective use of technology.
  • Maintain asset management of hardware and software inventories.
  • Create required reports in response to management needs.

What we are looking for someone who has:

  • Associate Degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology related field.
  • Certification in current Microsoft client technologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting Windows/Linux/MacOS and Microsoft 365 products, including Teams and OneDrive.
  • Working knowledge of office automation technologies and computer peripherals, such as printers and scanners.
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking fundamentals and security practices, and anti-virus programs.
  • Strong customer service orientation with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide user-friendly instructions.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and skilled at empowering a highly collaborative team.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals

Physical Effort:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Work Environment:

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
