We are seeking an eager and motivated
Desktop Support Analyst
to join our client's downtown Toronto trade floor team. The successful candidate will provide onsite IT support to approximately 50 end users in a fast-paced banking environment. While prior trade floor experience is not required, the role demands strong technical troubleshooting skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with intermediate-level desktop and end user support experience who is eager to learn and grow their career in financial services IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day onsite technical support for ~50 trade floor end users.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Support Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard enterprise applications.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, VPN, and basic server access issues.
  • Handle hardware/software incidents, requests, and escalations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams as needed to resolve issues.
  • Ensure minimal downtime for critical end users by providing prompt, high-quality support.
  • Assist with new hire setups, desk moves, and equipment refreshes.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in desktop/end user support in a corporate environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory (password resets, account unlocks) and basic Exchange support.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first approach.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptable, and motivated to build experience in a trade floor setting.
