Sunly Energy is currently seeking a Full-Time Permanent HR Coordinator/Recruiter to join our team.

With our Corporate office located on Prince Edward Island, Sunly Energy is the leading solar provider in the Maritimes with several franchises across Canada.

What You'll Do

  • Assists with full-cycle recruitment for assigned regions, including job postings, screening candidates, interview scheduling and extending offers;
  • Coordinates the onboarding and orientation process for new hires;
  • Sources, coordinates and attends job fairs within assigned regions (Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario);
  • Performs a variety of tasks to support the HR Manager, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the HR function;
  • Coordinates employee benefits enrollment and administration, answers employee queries;
  • Assists in organizing employee engagement events, and provides support with health and safety initiatives and monthly training;
  • Performs HR Administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and document management including ensuring employee records are maintained and updated accordingly;
  • Creates and updates templates, forms and documents as needed;
  • Provides general administrative support to the HR Manager;
  • Travels to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia as needed; and
  • Assists with special projects and other HR duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or related field;
  • Previous recruitment experience;
  • Criminal record check;
  • Valid driver's license with access to a reliable and insured vehicle;
  • Acceptable driver's abstract;
  • Knowledge of employment legislation on PEI, including Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and its regulations, Human Rights Act;
  • Willingness to familiarize oneself with relevant New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario employment legislation, with the ability to conduct independent research, interpret employment standards and apply them appropriately;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in English is required, bilingualism in French is an asset;
  • Very strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines;
  • Keen attention to detail to produce high quality work;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
