Rideau Supply is a leading supplier of Pumps, Water Treatment Technology, Drilling, Irrigation, Waste Water, and Heating supplies. We work with our customers to build strong relationships and to provide the best products and service. The Company is comprised of 4 locations in Ontario (Stratford, Barrie, Hastings and Perth) and one in Amherst Nova Scotia.

We have an exciting opportunity at our **_Home Office in Stratford _**for a **_HR Coordinator. _**Under the direction of the HR Manager the Coordinator will i provide HR Support in he following areas.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Human Resources Duties**
- Assign and track training, policies and documents using HR Download
- Tracking and reporting Turnover
- Sending out Employee Birthday cards
- Participate in the Company News Letter
- New Hire Orientation/ Onboarding plans
- Assist with Recruitment
- Employee Appreciation Events.
- Entering new employees on Dayforce, Powerpay and HR Downloads Resetting passwords
- Full payroll processing

**Health and Safety**
- Responsible for implementing a new company wide safety program and for monitoring adherence to same. E.g. develop new safety standards
- Responsible for the development of safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections and reporting.
- Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations, and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Perform job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports and recommendations.
- Ensure the timely completion of accident/injury reporting to Corporate Office.
- Provide advice and counsel to management and other employee groups on a broad range of occupational safety issues and decisions.
- Coordinate inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities with departments.
- Direct and review the analysis of accident and injury data, identifying the needs for new or modified occupational safety programs.
- Review and audit MTO compliance. E.g. log books, load security, CVORs
- Create common and best practices throughout all Branches
- Attend all Joint Health and Safety meetings as an advisor and record minutes

**What we are looking for**
- A well-spoken individual with the ability to speak clearly and confidently in all business settings.
- A positive can-do attitude with a friendly demeanor.
- Experience working with MTO, OHSA, WSIB
- Warehousing and Distribution knowledge an asset
- 1-3 years of related experience and /or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Human Resources or Occupational Health and Safety Diploma/Certification or working towards
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the OHSA and workers' compensation legislation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
- Demonstrated experience in Health & Safety Program development and implementation of new or changing regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a strong attention to detail
- Effective at interacting with regulatory agencies, facility leadership, plant personnel and legal counsel with knowledge of legal processes
- Ability to travel within Ontario and Nova Scotia
- Safety auditing experience would be an asset
