**Job Description - HR Coordinator**
The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting the HR function by managing recruitment and administrative tasks while assisting with HR programs.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates the onboarding and orientation process for new hires;
- Performs a variety of tasks to support the HR Manager, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the HR function;
- Coordinates employee benefits enrollment and administration, answers employee queries;
- Assists in organizing employee engagement events, attends job fairs, provides support with health and safety initiatives and monthly training;
- Performs HR Administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and document management including ensuring employee records are maintained and updated accordingly;
- Creates and updates templates, forms and documents as needed;
- Provides general administrative support to the HR Manager;
- Travels to New Brunswick as needed; and
- Assists with special projects and other HR duties as assigned.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or related field;
- One (1) year of relevant experience is an asset;
- Criminal record check;
- Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable and insured vehicle;
- Acceptable driver’s abstract;
- Knowledge of employment legislation on PEI, including Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and its regulations, Human Rights Act;
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in English is required, bilingualism in French is an asset;
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines;
- Keen attention to detail to produce high quality work;
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
