About Roseland Park Country Club
Roseland Park Country Club (RPCC) is a private, nonprofit, community-based club locatedin Burlington, Ontario. Since 1929, the Club has served members of all ages by offering a wide range of sporting, recreational, and social activities. From tennis, bocce, and lawn games to book clubs, bridge, and family-oriented events, RPCC fosters a strong sense of community and connection. Affectionately known as the "Roseland Club," it is proudly supported and maintained by its volunteer membership of over 1200 strong.
About the Role
RPCC is seeking a proactive, organized, and community-minded Clubhouse & Events Manager to oversee day-to-day clubhouse operations while also planning and delivering engaging social events for members throughout the year. This hands-on role blends operational oversight with event programming and requires close collaboration with the Board of Directors, volunteer committees, staff, and vendors. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing facilities and logistics as they are creating welcoming, well-run events that enhance the member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clubhouse Operations & Management
Oversee daily clubhouse operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Manage kitchen and bar services, including inventory, ordering, compliance with regulations, and quality standards.
Respond to operational issues or emergencies as required.
Supervise part-time or seasonal staff (e.g., custodian, cleaners), including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, fire, and licensing requirements.
Maintain positive relationships with members, vendors, contractors, and the broader community.
Identify opportunities to improve clubhouse efficiency, service offerings, and overall member experience.
Event Planning & Programming
Collaborate with the Events Director and volunteer committees to develop and manage a calendar of monthly events and seasonal celebrations (e.g., Halloween, Easter, Christmas, Summer BBQ, etc.).
Design a variety of high-quality programs at different price points to engage a broad membership demographic.
Coordinate clubhouse setup, equipment, staffing, food, and beverage needs for events.
Recruit and support Club volunteers involved in event planning and execution.
Act as a key liaison for clubhouse bookings and rentals, ensuring accurate scheduling and communication.
Budgeting, Administration & Reporting
Prepare and manage operational and event-specific budgets in coordination with the Board.
Track expenses, manage ticket sales and rentals through approved systems, and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate with the Treasurer on payments, receipts, and financial reconciliation.
Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Help maintain and manage the clubhouse and events calendar in partnership with the Events Director.
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clubhouse operations and events.
Event Execution & Follow-Up
Oversee and attend events to ensure smooth execution and a positive member experience.
Coordinate with staff and volunteers before, during, and after events.
Gather post-event feedback and complete post-event financial reconciliation and reporting.
Qualifications
Experience in hospitality, club management, event planning, facility operations, or a related field (professional or volunteer).
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.
Comfortable leading staff and coordinating volunteers.
Experience with basic budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
Smart Serve certification or willingness to obtain.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak club seasons as required.
Successfully screen for a criminal background check
