We're looking for a motivated Security Technician Apprentice to join our team and grow with us through hands-on mentorship and training.

Job Overview

This is an entry-level, technical apprenticeship role where you'll learn every aspect of security system installation. From preparing job sites to installing cameras and alarms, you'll gain hands-on skills under the guidance of experienced technicians. This is not a security guard position — it's a hands-on technical role in electronic security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with packing and unpacking truck equipment for job sites.
  • Learn and support the installation of security systems (cameras, alarms, access devices).
  • Perform cabling, device installation, and cable labelling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area after installations.
  • Follow and enforce all safety protocols.
  • Receive weekly performance evaluations and mentorship from senior technicians.
  • Participate in hands-on training across all facets of security installation.

Skills & Requirements

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required to ensure clear communication on job sites, with team members, and with clients.
  • Strong interest in technology, electronics, or hands-on trades.
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Ability to work with tools, equipment, and cabling.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety practices.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment, bend, climb ladders, and work in varied environments.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and eager to grow into a technical trade.
  • Valid driver's license (preferred).
