Duties

  • Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, handling heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals at multiple customer locations.
  • Deliver products directly to customers' doors, verifying orders and obtaining signatures when required.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a professional demeanor during all interactions.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance needs immediately.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for accountability and reporting purposes.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and supporting team members as needed.
  • Operate equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks safely when required for loading or unloading cargo.
  • Follow company policies regarding load securing, safety protocols, and route driving procedures to ensure safe operations at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
  • Experience handling heavy lifting, moving items within warehouses or customer locations using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with inventory management and loading procedures.
  • Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude toward customers and team members alike.
  • Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina for prolonged periods of driving, lifting heavy objects, and performing manual tasks throughout the day.
