Automotive Parts Advisor

Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Timmins, ON

At Timberland Ford, located in Timmins, Ontario, we are a full-service Ford dealer offering sales, service, and OEM parts for the complete lineup of Ford products. We are seeking an Automotive Parts Advisor to support our customers by providing parts sales and assistance at the counter, in the shop, and over the phone.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional support.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with parts selection, provide quotes, answer phone inquiries, and recommend related parts.
  • Pull, fill, and replenish orders; track backorders and special orders; source out-of-stock parts and coordinate emergency orders.
  • Notify service advisors, customers, and body shop teams when parts arrive and are ready for pickup or delivery.
  • Review estimates for accuracy, pricing, and correct parts.
  • Manage inventory, will-call, returns, credits, and daily shipments/pickups.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, and special-order parts.
  • Support internal teams and outside sales with parts requests.
  • Process payments and ensure proper documentation for all sales.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and professional.
  • Participate in ongoing training and stay current on product updates.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Relevant experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and problem-solve in routine situations.
  • Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required for the role.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Additional Information

  • Competitive salary range of $20 - $25 per hour, plus sales bonus.
  • Candidates must be located in Timmins, ON, or willing to relocate to Timmins, ON.
  • Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
