Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry and possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional service to our customers. As a Parts Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their parts needs, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a well-organized inventory. Duties Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct automotive parts for their vehicles. Process orders efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels are met. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely parts availability for repairs. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking inventory and sales data. Communicate effectively with customers, demonstrating strong phone etiquette. Engage in sales activities, including upselling and promoting parts specials. Support marketing initiatives to enhance customer awareness of available products. Skills Previous dealership experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in POS systems and retail sales processes. Familiarity with Reynolds & Reynolds is beneficial. Strong background in automotive repair is preferred. Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory effectively. Solid math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers professionally. Negotiation skills to assist in closing sales effectively.
