Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing authentic sushi and other Japanese dishes, ensuring high-quality food presentation and adherence to food safety standards.

Preparing food materials and making various types of sushi. We are willing to train people who have a passion for Japanese cuisine, especially sushi. With the high demand for Sushi Chef, this position has many development opportunities.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
  • Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi rolls and seasonal offerings
  • Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other supplies
  • Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests, maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food handling protocols at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Strong knowledge of sushi making techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices
  • Excellent food service skills with an emphasis on presentation and quality control
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in sushi preparation and general restaurant operations
  • Prior restaurant experience preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates eager to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
