Job Summary
As a Junior Accountant you will support the North-American Finance team in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely accounting operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Purpose and Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Manage invoice approval workflows in line with internal purchasing procedures.
Follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities as needed.
Reconciliations & Reporting
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts.
Reconcile bank and card movements, maintaining up-to-date records in the ERP.
Analyze reporting variances and explain major deviations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including reconciliations and overhead accruals.
Fixed Assets Management
Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets: recording, tracking, disposals, and depreciation.
Maintain an accurate fixed asset inventory and ensure updates are reflected in the ERP.
Cash & Treasury Support
Monitor cash movements and update cash-forecasting tools.
Inform the Cash Management team of issues such as delays, technical problems, or unexpected payment gaps.
Review cash positions and contribute to liquidity reporting.
Tax & Compliance
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, particularly VAT.
Prepare and coordinate tax payments and submissions with relevant authorities.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.
Continuous Improvement
Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives by sharing insights and suggesting solutions.
Support the implementation of efficiency enhancements across accounting processes.
Your Team and Partners
You will report to the Finance Manager.
You'll work closely with other members of the Accounting, Treasury, and FP&A teams, supporting day-to-day operations and month-end activities.
You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring accurate financial data and smooth information flow.

Education & Background
You hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and may be pursuing a CPA designation (or equivalent) with initial experience gained through early professional roles.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Knowledge of Accounting Standards: basic understanding of accounting principles (IFRS or GAAP).
Experience with accounting software (NetSuite preferred).
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables).
Ability to analyze financial data and support audits.
Professional Competencies
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Clear communication abilities, both written and verbal.
Capacity to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.
Mindset & Growth
Team player, proactive and eager to learn.
CPA designation in progress or completed.
Comfortable with cloud-based and digital finance tools.
