Role Description

This is a full-time, in-person Junior Accountant role based in Toronto. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a team of three, you will handle a broad range of accounting tasks that support day-to-day operations and the month-end close process. Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable, assisting with financial reporting and analysis, supporting payroll functions and collaborating with other departments to provide accurate financial guidance across the organization.

What You'll Do

Finance Administration

  • Manage the accounting inbox and communications with vendors and internal staff.
  • Review and enter invoices and expense reports; ensure timely payments.
  • Support inventory tracking to maintain accuracy and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Support accounting initiatives, driving efficiency and process improvements.

Accounts Payable

  • Handle full-cycle accounts payable.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely payments and maintain accurate A/P records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Accounting / co-op work experience is an asset.
  • Experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry is a strong asset.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
