Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our vibrant dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, showcasing exceptional leadership and customer service skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Manage staff through effective team management, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Utilize POS systems (including Micros POS) for cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to promote teamwork and enhance communication among team members.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers while retaining existing clientele.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends in the food industry to innovate menu offerings.

Experience

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Strong background in food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial management within a restaurant setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
  • Previous experience in interviewing potential candidates for restaurant positions is preferred.
