About the RoleWe are hiring a relationship-driven Business Development (Outside Sales) professional to grow catering revenue across Kamloops and the surrounding region. You will own net-new and reactivated accounts, represent the brand in the community, and collaborate with marketing, inside/accounts, and planning to deliver seamless events. You close to contract, then hand off to the planning/accounts team while remaining an executive sponsor for renewal and expansion.The ideal candidate is a well-connected community builder who thrives on goals, builds trust quickly, and represents a respected local hospitality brand with polish and heart.Key ResponsibilitiesNet-new growth: Identify, pursue, and close new catering opportunities across corporate, non-profit, association, social, and community segments.Reactivation: Proactively win back inactive accounts (no events in >24 months) without creating conflict with active books of business.Community presence: Attend Chamber/Tourism/industry events; host tastings and walk-throughs; cultivate venue and partner relationships that generate referrals.Pipeline management: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, weekly forecasts, and a forward-looking scorecard 2–3 quarters out.Proposals and presentations: Craft tailored solutions, quotes, and simple "good-better-best" packages that shorten time-to-contract.Handoff excellence: Run a clean internal handoff (scope, timelines, budget, deposit, notes, and success criteria) to planning/accounts; stay involved as executive sponsor.Collaboration: Work closely with GM, Sales Manager, Marketing, and planners to ensure outstanding execution and repeat business.Market intelligence: Track competitor moves, seasonal trends, and event calendars to inform outreach and offers.Targets and Activity ExpectationsAnnual new business targets: $350,000 (FY26), $700,000 (FY27), $1,000,000 (FY28).Activity/KPIs: 12–15 first meetings/month, 12–16 proposals/month, 20–30 community touches/month, CRM hygiene score 95%, win rate and cycle-time improvements quarter over quarter.Qualifications3+ years in outside sales, hospitality, events, or related B2B relationship roles.Demonstrated success meeting/exceeding quotas in a pipeline-driven environment.Strong communication and presentation skills; comfort with C-level, committees, and community boards.Known connector in the Kamloops market (or a compelling plan to build that network fast).Organized, self-directed, and accountable; excellent follow-through.Proficiency with a modern CRM (Dynamics or HubSpot preferred); Office 365. Caterease familiarity is a plus.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to attend occasional evening/weekend events.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary plus commission and performance incentives (final structure to align with lifetime-value and reactivation credit policy).Benefits package (health, dental, etc.) after probationary period.Company-provided laptopGrowth opportunities within a scaling hospitality organization.
