About the Role

We are looking for an
Associate
to play a key role in executing and managing direct private equity investments. This high-impact position offers substantial responsibility, direct exposure to decision-makers, and the opportunity to accelerate your growth within a collaborative, mentorship-driven team. You'll be deeply involved in every stage of the investment process, from due diligence to exit. To maintain the highly collaborative, fast-moving culture that defines Krystal, this is an in-office role with at least four days per week spent on site at our Yaletown office.

Key Responsibilities

·
Investment Evaluation
: Evaluate new business opportunities, conduct market research, and support due diligence efforts.

·
Financial Analysis

: Build and maintain financial models to support operational decision making, strategic planning, valuation, and debt financing options.

Due Diligence
: Drive market and operational due diligence activities, analyze competitive landscapes, and develop investment theses.

·
Capital Markets and Financing
: Collaborate with lenders and equity investors to gain support for debt and equity investment financing.

·
Portfolio Company Management

: Monitor existing investments and

contribute to strategic development of the portfolio companies

by working closely with their management teams and board of directors.

·
Reporting and Investor Communications
: Take an active role in fundraising by overseeing the development of investor materials and managing ongoing reporting materials to meet investor requirements.

Your Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, financial due diligence, strategy consulting, or accounting.

· MBA, CPA and/or CFA will be considered an asset.

· Robust financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.

· Proficiency with business software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

· Excellent communication skills, including an ability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise insights.

· Ability to manage projects under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

· Authorization to work in Canada.

Compensation

Salary of $80,000 - $100,000, plus an annual bonus and comprehensive health benefits plan. The base salary may vary depending on the applicant's skillset and experience.
