Business Development Analyst

As part of Enterprise Group Solutions team, you'll collaborate with top-tier professionals to craft tailored group benefits solutions for our expanding client base across Canada. This role reports directly to the Vice-President of Enterprise Group Solutions and is especially suited for individuals with a background in group insurance underwriting or group benefits who are eager to make a tangible impact on clients and see the results of their expertise in action.The Business Development Analyst will:
Manage daily tasks and contribute to special projects as needed
Build and analyze pricing models and financial scenarios
Conduct renewal analysis, negotiate with insurers, and develop client-ready reports and presentations
Interpret experience data, forecast budgets, and evaluate financial health of benefit plans
Lead marketing efforts by preparing request to quote documents, comparing costs, analyzing proposals, and presenting strategic recommendations
Assess the financial impact of proposed plan design changes
Create high-quality documentation to support consultants in client meetings and presentations
Supporting plan design benchmarking initiatives
Assisting clients during collective bargaining negotiations
Facilitating carrier transitions by providing financial data to service teams
Generating custom reports for consultants or clients upon request
We're looking for a candidate who brings a strong foundation in group benefits and a passion for delivering exceptional client solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
2 to 5 years of experience in the Canadian group benefits industry, with exposure to financial underwriting across various employee benefit plans
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with solid working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
Customer-focused mindset, with a desire to contribute to a high-performing, client-centric culture
Growth-oriented attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
Prior experience in group insurance underwriting is a strong asset, though not mandatory
