We are looking for a Data Analyst for a 10 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 2 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identifying Critical Data Elements (CDEs):
    Determine, document, and maintain key data elements essential to business processes, regulatory reporting, and analytics.
  • Data Dictionary Management:
    Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-wide data dictionaries to support consistent data definitions and usage across the organization.
  • Business Data Quality Rules:
    Define, validate, and implement business data quality rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of key data assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills
    with the ability to analyze, query, and validate large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Power BI
    , including building dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Data Governance experience
    , specifically in:
  • Identifying and documenting CDEs
  • Maintaining data dictionaries
  • Establishing and implementing data quality rules
  • Exceptional communication skills
    —both verbal and written—with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation abilities
    , capable of leading discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree
    minimum, preferably in a
    technical field
    such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Professional, polished, and detail-oriented
    demeanor.
