We are hiring a
Data Analyst
to support one of our
major banking clients
within their
Global Banking & Markets (GBM)
division. This role sits within the
Client Insights & Analytics
team, part of the COO's office, and supports a high-impact
Capital Analytics Project
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process, validate, and manage large volumes of financial data from multiple sources
  • Perform reconciliations across internal systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and discrepancies
  • Support the development and implementation of data and reconciliation process improvements
  • Generate reports and perform analysis to support business decision-making
  • Leverage internal and external data to help identify business opportunities

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a
    Data Analyst
  • Recent hands-on experience with database design
    (critical)
  • 2+ years of experience with
    SQL
  • 2+ years of experience with
    Python
  • Post-secondary education in
    Computer Science
    or a related field

Nice-to-Have

  • Advanced skills in
    Excel
    and
    Power BI
  • Knowledge of
    capital markets
    and
    wholesale banking

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn independently and adapt quickly
  • High attention to detail with a curious, analytical mindset
  • Proactive, energetic, and team-oriented

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a
hands-on Data Analyst
with strong database design experience, solid SQL and Python skills, and a passion for learning. Exposure to capital markets or wholesale banking is a strong asset. Candidates who are curious, motivated, and eager to grow within a collaborative team environment will thrive in this role.
