Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL, IBM DataStage, and Linux shell scripting to join our data engineering and analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, transforming, and analyzing large datasets, developing automation scripts, and ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
  • Utilize Linux shell scripting to automate routine data processes, job scheduling, and system monitoring.
  • Use MS SQL utilities such as BCP and BULK INSERT for high-volume data import/export operations.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and reporting needs.
  • Troubleshoot ETL workflows, database issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Document data flows, transformations, and process logic for audit and maintenance purposes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, ETL Developer, or Database Analyst.
  • Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server (T-SQL), including query optimization and stored procedure development.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage (job design, debugging, deployment).
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix shell scripting for automation and system operations.
  • Experience using MS SQL utilities (e.g., BCP, BULK INSERT).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and job scheduling tools (Control-M, cron).
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
