Accountant (CPA In Progress or Designated) – Public Accounting

Peel Region, ON

A well-established public accounting firm in the
Peel Region
is looking to add an
Accountant
to their growing team. This opportunity is well suited for a
CPA candidate or CPA-designated professional
with hands-on experience in
assurance engagements
and exposure to
Canadian tax compliance
.

This role is open at multiple experience levels and can be tailored for candidates progressing from staff to senior responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in audit and review engagements for private clients
  • Prepare working papers and financial statements under ASPE / IFRS
  • Assist with and/or prepare
    T1 and T2
    tax filings
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to meet engagement deadlines
  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication

What we're looking for:

  • CPA designation completed or in progress (CPA PEP)
  • Experience in public accounting (approximately 1–6 years)
  • Strong technical foundation in assurance
  • Exposure to personal and corporate tax is preferred
  • Big 4 or large firm experience considered an asset
  • Detail-oriented with strong time-management skills

Compensation & benefits:

  • $70,000–$110,000 base salary + bonus
    , depending on experience
  • CPA support and mentorship
  • Long-term career development and progression
