Senior Accountant

Department: Finance

Location: Mississauga, ON

Reports To: Controller

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will provide full-cycle accounting support for Infra Pipe and its associated subsidiaries. This role is responsible for month-end close, consolidated financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with IFRS. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work with complex data while supporting continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare stand-alone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Complete subsidiary consolidations, including consolidation and elimination entries
  • Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Record and review journal entries and complex accounting transactions
  • Support inventory accounting and cost-related analysis
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide requested documentation
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to support corporate tax filings
  • Continuously assess accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Partner cross-functionally to implement approved accounting policy and process changes
  • Provide backup support to the Controller as needed
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • CPA designation required (or in progress with strong technical foundation)
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and consolidated financial reporting
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
