Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to quality work and safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained workspace while developing skills in commercial cleaning and facilities upkeep.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as needed
  • Disinfect surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and break areas
  • Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting larger repairs to maintenance staff
  • Ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly and waste is disposed of properly
  • Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
  • Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks thoroughly and efficiently
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good time management skills to complete daily tasks within scheduled hours
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety and quality standards

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
