To support Schools and the Catholic Education Centre Administration Office by providing clerical support for the efficient daily operation of the applicable school or department. This position provides assistance to staff and the general public as required.

Successful applicants may be required to assist throughout the Halton Region.

JOB SUMMARY:

Language: Italian

Location: St. Brigid Elementary School (Georgetown)

Effective Date: Immediately

End Date: June 8, 2026

Hours: Fridays, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Rate of Pay: $18.43 to $37.38

POSITION OVERVIEW :

• Prepare and deliver language lessons for in-class and online as needed.
• Organization and maintenance of the classroom in school or online, including maintaining daily log of activities, lessons and student attendance.
• Supervision of students during the 2.5 hrs in a classroom or in a virtual class.
• Instruct students at various levels of linguistic competence.
• Adhering to and working within parameters of Board Policies and Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Certified Teachers with qualifications in a second language are preferred,
• Must exhibit competency in the International Language of instruction and have a good working knowledge of English,
• Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience, preferably with elementary students.
• Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with a variety of learners.
• High energy – an excitement for teaching.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Screening dated within six months.
• Copies of certificates, diplomas, designations and/or undergraduate degrees.
• Two letters of professional reference, dated within the year.
