Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchasing Specialist / Procurement Officer. You will be responsible for executing purchase orders, coordinating with overseas suppliers, and supporting import-related procurement activities.
This role requires hands-on purchasing experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with import processes and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily purchasing activities, including PO creation and follow-up
- Communicate with domestic and overseas suppliers regarding pricing, lead time, and order status
- Support import procurement, including coordination with freight forwarders and internal teams
- Prepare and verify import-related documents such as invoices, packing lists, and shipment details
- Track incoming shipments and follow up on delays or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in ERP systems
- Assist with supplier evaluation and cost comparisons
- Resolve purchasing issues such as shortages, damages, or incorrect deliveries
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Experience with import-related purchasing or international sourcing is required
- Familiarity with shipping terms, lead times, and basic import documentation
- Hands-on experience using ERP or purchasing systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced environment
- Basic Excel skills for tracking orders and costs
- Fluency in Mandarin is required
- Basic English communication skills are required
- Post-secondary education is an asset but not required
