Job Description at CANASTAMPI inc.

Job Duties:

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Set-up CNC machining centers including mills, lathes, EDM's and various toolroom equipment by installing and adjusting fixtures, vises and chucks in order to safely secure workpieces.

-Including, but not limited to various mold and die components in any material.

-Program using latest Mastercam software, Version 2023/2024

-Verifies machine settings by measuring work/tool offset positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.

Maintains tolerances and specifications by observing all machining operations required for the parts; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Typical tolerances +/- .0005"

Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; lubrication, coolant, and maintenance for optimal machine production.

Knowledge of CNC tooling

Willing to train the right individual who is willing to learn and grow with CANASTAMPI inc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Salary: $20.00-$32.00 per hour

Hourly pay is to be discussed based on a minimum of 3 -5 years experience

Recent graduates from an approved college/CNC trade school will be considered for junior level machinist positions.
