Location: Wildlings Play Café – Picton, ON

About Us

Wildlings is a children's play café that brings families together in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Our space combines a cozy café with an engaging play area designed for children aged 0–7.

Role Overview

As our very first Play Café Associate, you will be the welcoming face of our café. You'll handle admissions, serve coffee and snacks, keep the café clean and safe, and ensure families have an enjoyable visit. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role perfect for someone who is organized, energetic, friendly, skilled in multitasking and would thrive off being the first staff member at a brand new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet families warmly and process admissions/payments at the front desk

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and light snacks (training provided)

  • Provide excellent customer service to parents, caregivers, and children

  • Monitor play areas to ensure safety and a positive environment

  • Clean tables, play areas, bathrooms, and café equipment as needed

  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies

  • Support special events, birthday parties, or workshops when scheduled

Skills & Qualifications

  • Friendly, approachable, and customer-service oriented

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment

  • Comfortable engaging with children and families

  • Previous café, retail, childcare, or customer service experience an asset

  • Basic food handling experience is helpful (training provided)
