Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Kindred Construction Ltd. Full time

Kindred is seeking a highly motivated BIM Coordinator to support the implementation and integration of BIM standards across our projects. Reporting to the BIM Manager, you'll play a vital part in aligning project teams throughout all phases of digital project delivery. If you're passionate about digital construction and committed to creating consistent workflows and standards, we want to hear from you

As BIM Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and support projects initiated by the VDC/BIM Manager and guide them through to successful completion. Our BIM process centers on the development of shared 3D models to visualize design intent, assess constructability, and resolve clashes early. We follow a structured three-stage BIM workflow: early involvement, model development, and clash coordination. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with project teams to ensure successful BIM execution across all phases—below are the key responsibilities you'll take on as part of the Kindred team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain projects set up by the BIM Manager
  • Support issue tracking using ACC Model Coordination and Revizto
  • Assist with standards documentation and company-wide rollout
  • Help maintain and implement Kindred BIM standards, templates, and workflows
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain BIM models through design and construction
  • Facilitate coordination meetings, including clash detection and model reviews
  • Contribute to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific requirement documents
  • Assist with model data extraction for schedules, quantities, and reporting
  • Run routine model audits to ensure compliance with standards
  • Provide guidance and basic training to project staff on BIM workflows and tools
  • Work closely with consultants, project managers, and trades to align expectations and deliverables
  • Stay current with BIM technologies and industry trends, including participation in conferences

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, BIM Management, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a BIM-related role within construction or design
  • Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, Procore, and Revizto
  • Strong understanding of design-to-construction workflows and processes
  • Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans and coordination workflows
  • Experience supporting QA/QC reviews and model audits
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and structural design is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with consultants, trades, and project managers
