This is a remote, full-time contract position open to applicants across Canada.

The Role

The Email Marketing Content Specialist is a valued contributor within the Consulting Department, focused on supporting high-volume campaign execution for Brafton's clients. This position plays a key role in helping bring marketing emails to life—from visual layout and copywriting to platform setup and performance optimization.

The current focus for this role includes supporting a large-scale, image-driven B2C email campaign. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, experience creating marketing assets, and interest in contributing to all stages of the email production process. While prior email platform experience is an asset, it is not required—support and training can be provided.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in marketing, communications, or digital design who is looking to deepen their expertise in email marketing within a collaborative team environment.

The Email Marketing Specialist has experience or interest in:
  • Designing branded, mobile-friendly emails using Figma, Canva, or similar tools
  • Writing and editing clear, engaging short-form copy for marketing audiences
  • Collaborating with marketing strategists and other team members on campaign execution
  • Learning and working within email platforms such as Klaviyo, Hubspot and more
  • Supporting the development of automations and segmentation
  • Applying feedback and aligning deliverables to client brand guidelines and timelines
  • Contributing to a positive and productive remote team culture
Essential Job Functions & Key Success Factors
  • The focus of this role is on execution and production support for email marketing campaigns. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
  • Designing and assembling email creative using client branding and templates
  • Drafting and editing marketing copy to support campaign objectives
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure timely and high-quality execution
  • Supporting list segmentation, QA, and deployment within email platforms (where applicable)
  • Maintaining consistency across a large volume of deliverables
  • Participating in regular check-ins and status updates
  • Applying best practices in email layout, mobile optimization, and brand compliance
  • Learning and applying new skills and tools to support evolving project needs
  • This role will work closely with the Manager, Email Marketing, and other consulting team members to ensure smooth delivery and continued growth across email capabilities.
Skills & Requirements
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in marketing, digital content, or design
  • Proficiency in Figma, Canva, or other visual editing tools
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a remote environment
  • Interest in learning more about email marketing platforms and best practices
  • Bonus: Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Hubspot, Flodesk, Mailchimp, Marketing Cloud, etc.)
Time Breakout:
  • 70 percent independent contributor email marketing work
  • 20 percent internal or client-facing communications
  • 10 percent misc.

Contractors must provide their own industry hardware and a stable internet connection.
