As a Senior Manager Law Clerk within Vialto's US Immigration practice, you will own the delivery, performance, and strategic direction of a high-performing team supporting complex, high-volume immigration programs for large multinational and emerging-growth clients. You will oversee end-to-end operations, elevate service quality, develop future leaders, and serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys, client executives, and cross-functional stakeholders. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, people leadership, client management, and strategic problem-solving.

What You Will Lead And Deliver
Strategic Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead a multi-level team of Analysts, Senior Associates, and Managers in delivering accurate, timely immigration work.
  • Set performance goals, conduct structured talent reviews, and drive long-term career development and retention.
  • Create a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast resource needs and optimize staffing across accounts.

Complex Case Strategy, Quality Assurance & Escalation Management

  • Oversee and provide strategic guidance on sophisticated NIV and IV matters (H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM, I-140, AOS/EAD/AP).
  • Resolve high-risk escalations and advise attorneys on case strategy for sensitive or mission-critical matters.
  • Serve as a final quality gate for high-impact filings and communications.

Client Program Leadership

  • Act as the operational leader for enterprise and high-growth clients, ensuring flawless delivery against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Facilitate executive-level client discussions, quarterly business reviews, and program health assessments.
  • Translate client goals into scalable workstreams, anticipate volume surges, and proactively set filing strategies and calendars.
  • Strengthen client relationships through data-driven recommendations and thought partnership.

Operational Excellence, Quality, & Continuous Improvement

  • Build and enforce standardized SOPs, QA frameworks, and operational controls across the team.
  • Identify service gaps and lead initiatives to improve turnaround times, accuracy, and first-pass yield.
  • Drive scalable, measurable process enhancements rooted in efficiency and compliance.

Data, Analytics & Insights

  • Leverage dashboards and reporting tools to monitor throughput, backlog, expiries, aging, and SLA performance.
  • Deliver insights and trend analyses to internal leadership and clients, influencing decision-making and operational strategy.
  • Use data to guide capacity planning, workflow optimization, and risk mitigation.

Technology, Automation & Innovation

  • Champion adoption and effective use of case-management systems, dashboards, and automation capabilities.
  • Partner with Product/Tech teams to pilot new tools, test enhancements, and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Build team readiness for new technologies through training and change management.

Training, Knowledge Management & Scaling Expertise

  • Develop and deliver training curricula on immigration processes, policy updates, templates, and best practices.
  • Oversee maintenance of knowledge repositories, playbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Ensure that teams are equipped with the most current policy, process, and system guidance.

Executive-Level Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate confidently with client executives, HR/Talent leaders, legal stakeholders, and foreign national employees.
  • Present program updates, recommendations, and business cases with clarity and executive presence.
  • Manage sensitive issues with professionalism, urgency, and tact.

Risk, Ethics, & Compliance Leadership

  • Ensure audit-ready documentation, DOL/USCIS compliance, and adherence to firm policies.
  • Mitigate policy, procedural, and operational risks through proactive oversight and strong controls.
  • Foster an environment where ethics, quality, and compliance are embedded in everyday execution.

Qualifications
Required

  • 7–10+ years of U.S. employment-based immigration experience, including deep expertise in high-volume NIV and IV processes.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience, including formal people management.
  • Demonstrated success leading large client programs, managing SLAs, and operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Executive-ready communication skills and strong client facilitation abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with immigration case-management and reporting systems; comfort driving technology adoption.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level immigration programs or professional services environments.
  • Background in process excellence (Lean, Six Sigma, project management methodologies).
  • Paralegal certificate or university degree (JD not required).

  • Compensation Salary Range: $104,000 - $134,000 CAD

Compensation is determined based on geographic location, years of relevant experience, education, and overall qualifications.
