Rumix is a custom metal machining and fabrication shop, located in Hamilton, ON. Rumix was established in 1999 and has been serving small and large customers in Ontario. We work on small jobs that require few hours to the jobs that take over 2 months to complete.

We have an immediate need for a welder/fabricator with fitting experience on carbon and/or stainless steel with a minimum of 5+ years of experience. The candidate must exhibit them taking care of the equipment, the job, and the position, within a safety-first, air-conditioned environment.

Must Have Job Requirements:

· Minimum 5 years of experience as a fabricator and welder - mostly MIG welding

· Manipulate large work pieces safely with the lift truck and other lifting equipment

· Use the appropriate hand tools – grinders, drills, saw, etc. as required to make the parts

· Fit, weld and assemble to make the product that meets drawing requirements

· Work with different materials – carbon steel, stainless steel (most often HSS and 44W Plate) of various size and thickness

· Ability to read engineering drawings, sketches and understand dimensions correctly

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Adhere to company policies, safe worker practices and mindful of those working around

· Be Resourceful with excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with sound judgment and move the work forward

· Be a motivated self-starter, punctual, dependable and efficient, who does not need instructions to complete the work.

· Pride in their work and show attention to detail

· Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation and Other Details

· Our compensation package is very competitive that includes benefits and annual bonus.

· Hourly wages reflective of the experience and level of skill brought by the individual

· The position is a full-time position with minimum of 6 months probation

· The working hours are from Monday to Friday 7:00AM till 3:30PM

· PPE is required on the floor all the time – safety shoes, safety glasses and ear protection

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
