Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work with various tools and equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all projects. On the job training to be provided.

Duties

  • Interpret and read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, lifting devices, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate metal components.
  • Assemble metal parts and structures according to design specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Flexible work times available.
  • Adhere to all company safety requirements and work in a safe manner

Qualifications

  • 5+ years welding experience
  • Experience with welding Steel and Aluminum is essential
  • CWB certification an asset
  • Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Able to operate a metal cutting saw
  • Comfortable using overhead cranes to manipulate work pieces
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
