As a Bilingual Life Claims Adjudicator, you will play a critical role in ensuring life insurance claims are processed accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. You will be detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the integrity of our claims process.
Position Responsibilities:
Review and adjudicate death claims in compliance with company policies, contractual provisions, and legal requirements.
Verify eligibility by analyzing policy details, beneficiary designations, and supporting documentation such as death certificates and medical records.
Request additional information or documentation when necessary and liaise with beneficiaries, advisors, and internal teams to resolve outstanding issues.
Maintain accurate and complete claim records in the system to ensure proper documentation and reserve calculations.
Communicate claim decisions clearly and professionally to beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate cases for investigation when appropriate.
Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and compliance teams to ensure fair and consistent claim practices.
Required Qualifications:
University degree or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in life insurance claims adjudication or a related field.
Bilingual (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of life insurance products, policy provisions, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to evaluate documentation and make sound decisions.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with beneficiaries during sensitive situations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Familiarity with fraud detection practices and compliance standards.

$51,375.00 CAD - $85,625.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact for the salary range for your location.
