Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sage Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description

At Sage, we believe security shouldn't slow innovation, it should power it. Our mission is to make cybersecurity a natural part of how we build, deliver, and grow the products that help millions of businesses thrive.

As an Associate Security Specialist, you'll play a key role in making that happen. You'll work closely with our talented engineers and Security Champions to strengthen our security capabilities across a wide range of products and applications. Your work will directly help ensure that Sage's software is secure, resilient, and ready for anything the modern threat landscape can throw at it.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in our Vancouver office.

Key Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

Every day, you'll be collaborating with brilliant teams — diving into code, identifying vulnerabilities, and guiding developers toward secure-by-design solutions. You'll be the friendly face of security for your assigned product teams, helping them make smart, confident decisions that protect our customers and keep innovation moving fast.

You'll have the chance to get hands-on with tools and techniques like SAST, DAST, vulnerability management, and threat modelling, while supporting continuous improvement across our secure development lifecycle. Whether it's contributing to compliance initiatives, exploring new cloud security practices, or learning from global experts, there's always something new to discover.

We're looking for someone who's curious, collaborative, and passionate about building things the right way. Maybe you've already worked in a DevSecOps environment, or perhaps you're a developer eager to grow your security expertise — either way, you're hungry to learn and excited to make a real impact.

A bit about you

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy working hands-on with development teams to build secure software.

  • Have some experience with cloud-based applications, agile delivery, or DevSecOps practices.

  • Are familiar with secure development tools or frameworks like SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management.

  • Can communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues across different time zones and specialisms.

  • Have a genuine interest in cybersecurity, and a drive to keep learning as threats evolve.

Why join Sage?

At Sage, you'll find a place where learning never stops, innovation is celebrated, and people come first. You'll be part of a global security community that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement — with the freedom to grow your career in a way that's meaningful to you.

We're not just protecting products — we're protecting possibilities. Join us and help make security an enabler for everyone.

Benefits? We have plenty

  • 100% paid premiums for health, dental, and vision coverage

  • RRSP contribution match (100% up to 4%)

  • 35 days paid time off (11 holidays, 16 vacation days, 3 personal days, 5 sick days)

  • Work Away, an opportunity to work & play for 10 weeks in a country of your choice (from a Sage-approved list)

  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave for birth, adoption, or surrogacy offered 1 year after your start date

  • 5 days paid yearly to volunteer (through Sage Foundation)

  • $5,250 tuition reimbursement per calendar year starting 6 months after your hire date

  • Sage Wellness Rewards Program (annual fitness reimbursement)

  • Library of on-demand career development options and ongoing training offerings
