YWCA Metro Vancouver is a registered charity and an advocate for gender equity, including the empowerment of Two-Spirit and gender diverse individuals. The organization provides a variety of community services such as affordable housing, early learning and child care, training and employment services, and holistic programs designed to foster safety, wellness, and economic security.
Position is on site, but can be hybrid in future.
Role Description
-This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Support Specialist located in Vancouver, BC.
-The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting, assisting with desktop computer issues, managing the help desk, and ensuring smooth information technology operations on a day-to-day basis.
-Provide basic IT technical workshops to clients and staff.
-Prepare loaner laptop requests.
-Manage google forms and eventbrite.
-Do other assigned tasks.
-Must be bilinguel, French and English.
Qualifications
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills
- Fresher with IT background or Experience with Desktop Computers and Information Technology
- Help Desk Support skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a non-profit or community service environment is a plus
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
