Job Summary
The HR Manager reports directly to the executive team, leading the development and implementation of HR processes, policies, and procedures. They manage and mentor the HR team, ensuring excellence in core HR functions and alignment with organizational goals. This role provides strategic insights and recommendations to executives while managing comprehensive HR communications both internally and externally. The HR Manager excels in troubleshooting complex HR issues, driving talent acquisition for key roles, streamlining onboarding processes, and orchestrating impactful employee development and retention initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of HR processes, policies, and procedures.
Manage and mentor the HR team to ensure excellence in core HR functions.
Align HR strategies and initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team.
Manage comprehensive HR communications both internally and externally.
Troubleshoot complex HR issues and implement effective solutions.
Streamline and oversee the onboarding process for new hires.
Collaborate with executives and department heads on strategic HR planning and initiatives.
Drive talent acquisition strategies for key roles within the organization.

Qualifications
5+ years of HR experience
Professional designation in HR (CHRP or equivalent qualification)
Proficient understanding of BC Employment Standards Act
Intermediate understanding of BC Employment Law
Experience working in Indigenous Economic Development is an asset.
Professional communicator
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Ability to lead, encourage and engage teammates.
Ability to deal with employee concerns and questions with a calm and professional demeanor.
Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
Capable of managing HRIS systems
Expert level computer skills – Microsoft Office, Google for Business
Ability to learn new software programs efficiently and implement efficient procedures utilizing them.
