Overview:

Mancor Industries is a world class precision manufacturer of metal components and sub-assemblies that uses state of the art machining and fabrication techniques to produce high value add, cost effective products for our strategic partners in the North American Truck and Heavy Duty equipment industries. The Business Account Manager will be responsible to manage and maintain existing OEM customer relationships as well as develop and implement growth opportunities in new and existing markets.  The Business Account Manager will lead activities to drive continuous improvement in customer's Key Operations Indicators (KOI's) in an environment of increasing customer expectations.

Tasks:

Develop trusted relationships with our customers and address their needs effectively

Conduct routine customer visits and be fluent on market trends

Manage and track all RFQ's including the management of customer paid tooling

Be an integral part of the quote development and submission process

Maintain Price Files and ensure accuracy

Be an active participant in APQP activities

Research and identify new market opportunities

Monitor customer scorecards and manage activities to exceed targets

Prepare customer presentations

Facilitate customer VA/VE cost savings initiatives while maintaining profitability focus

Work with the plant management team to ensure all customer requests are complete

Overnight travel within North America required.

Ideal Competencies:

The preferred candidate will have experience working in a fast paced progressive manufacturing environment preferably in the automotive, metal fabrication, or industrial parts manufacturing industries and will understand and appreciate what it takes to be a successful supplier.  Acting as the face to the customer the individual will have presence, possess excellent communication skills and be very comfortable presenting in large group settings.  The ideal candidate will also be versed in all areas of the business in order to successfully interact with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Materials and Finance.

Sales excellence: The Business Account Manager will leverage past experience with best practices in customer relations and growth. He/she will have a track record of setting sales targets for current and new customers with an emphasis on meeting goals of delivery, financial performance, and commercial sustainability. The successful candidate will be driven to exceed customers' needs and possess strong customer service skills.

Market and business strategy excellence: The Business Account Manager will have demonstrated the ability to grow the business while maintaining and increasing company profitability. He/she will have a track record of knowing customers and competitors competencies and developing strategies and actions in relation to them.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree is preferred.  Previous Metal Fabrication experience an asset.

A minimum of 5-10 years in a like manufacturing environment in either a Sales or Project Management capacity.

Prefer experience selling similar products to Class 8 Truck, HD Equipment, or Automotive companies

Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office, CAD, and previous ERP system experience.

Must demonstrate strong analytical skills.

High attention to detail and a focus on fact based decision making.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Background in customer contracts and agreements.

Strong project management skills.

P&L knowledge and understanding of sales and pricing functions impact.

Must have a solid understanding of the specific process competencies and complexities in order to build immediate credibility with peers and customers.

Must be self-motivated and work independently.
