Sous Chef - OEB Breakfast Co.
Located in River Landing on the waterfront, OEB is all about people. Feeding the Soul. OEB is a busy, bustling brunch and lunch restaurant looking to hire for the position of Sous Chef. You do need to be a morning person as our days start early, but we close at 3:00pm, leaving your evenings free for time with family or friends.
Job Details: The Sous Chef will work in conjunction with the Head Chef to lead the Culinary Operations of the restaurant at an excellent level while maintaining and abiding by all standards, policies and/or procedures set forth by OEB Breakfast Co and any applicable government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
· Full kitchen execution and management of quality assurance
· Team leadership, training and follow up for a large culinary crew
· Inventory and inventory management
· Administrative duties
· Exceeding safety and sanitization standards
· Maintain high morale
Qualifications and Experience
· Previous experience (2 years +) of high-volume culinary management experience
· Technical culinary skills training
· Food Safe Certified
· Knowledge and consistent compliance of government health and safety standards
· Proven Leadership Skills - people development and motivation, technical culinary skills training, policy and procedure management, time management, problem solving/decision making
· Proven ability to achieve short and long-term business goals

· Store hours are 7am to 3pm daily therefore the ability to work early mornings and weekends is required (no evening shifts)
