Role Description

We are seeking an entry level bookkeeper / administrator. This is a full-time on-site role from January until May and then part-time after that. This position is responsible for client communication, administrative assistance, customer service, and entry level bookkeeping duties.

Responsibilities

· Organize and filing documents.

· Entering documents into QuickBooks.

· Greet and assist clients in person, by phone, and via email.

· Schedule client appointments and manage the office calendar for bookkeeping and tax consultations.

· Maintain and organize client records in compliance with privacy and retention policies.

· Support tax season administrative workflows (e.g. intake, data entry, scanning, document tracking).

Qualifications

  • Experience using bookkeeping software such as Quickbooks
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of office administration experience, preferably in an accounting or tax firm
  • Familiarity with CRA systems (Represent a Client, My Business Account, My Account) an asset
