Post-Secondary Instructor, Pharmacy Technician (Repost)

Term Dates: December 15, 2025 to March 27, 2026

Rate of Pay: $55.42 to $75.40 per hour

Location: Pembina Campus

Reporting to the Academic Coordinator, the PS Instructor, Pharmacy Technician demonstrates subject matter expertise, student-centered instructional approaches, and pedagogical practices and technological proficiency appropriate to blended learning course design for the following course in the Pharmacy Technician program.

Medication Safety and Risk Management (PT-390) course will run as follows:

• January 5 to February 20, 2026: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• March 2 to March 20, 2026: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Duties will include course delivery using MITT approved course curriculum, supporting student success through well-developed assessment and feedback processes, and maintaining course and student records. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in Program area meetings and contribute to accreditation activities, as well as participate in other College-based committees or activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

A combination of related education and experience may be considered.

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Be a licensed pharmacist (RPh) with minimum of 600 hours of community and/or institutional practice experience over the past 3 years.
• Meet the minimum practice requirements for licencing/listing with CPhM.
• Experience in instructing, training or facilitating.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or diploma in adult education.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
• Experience using a Learning Management System is an asset.
• On-line/blended learning teaching experience is an asset.
• Previous instructional or demonstrated curriculum development experience.
• Solid working knowledge of the CCAPP standards, NAPRA competencies, and CPTEA educational outcomes.
