Duties

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units through inspection and testing procedures.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and system inspections
  • Utilize repair knowledge to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
  • Install new HVAC systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and local codes
  • Use schematics and technical manuals to identify parts and repair procedures accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of service performed and parts used.
  • Assist in the training of junior technicians when needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and repair options clearly to customers
  • Prepare accurate service reports, work orders, and documentation
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces, tools, and company vehicles
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry best practices, and company procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service and uphold a professional company image

Experience

  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and assembly processes.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or installations.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures across various equipment.
  • Experience working in customer service environments is a plus, demonstrating effective communication skills.
  • Prior experience with diagnostic equipment or technical manuals is advantageous for troubleshooting complex issues. This Service Technician position requires a proactive attitude, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Candidates should be prepared to work in a team-oriented environment while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Qualifications

  • G2 Gas License required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a service technician role
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, systems, troubleshooting methods, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Proficiency with HVAC tools, meters, gauges, and diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces
  • 313D/313A certification preferred
