Victoria Newitt Recruitment Inc has been retained by Fraserway RV to search for a Business Development Manager.
Reporting to the VP – Dealerships & Sales, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a pivotal role in leading the Business Development Centre with growth initiatives, drive new sales opportunities, and cultivate strong customer relationships with Fraserway RV. With a proven track record in business development, sales leadership, and customer engagement, as a BDM, you will oversee a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), ensuring they exceed performance targets while aligning business strategies with company goals. You will play a key role in developing and executing strategies to generate leads, expand the customer base, and drive revenue growth, all while fostering a high-performance culture. Working closely with our national training partners, sales, marketing and operations, you will enhance business development efforts, ensuring seamless integration across the organization.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will bring vision, inspiration, and mentorship to our BDR's. In partnership with the National Sales Development Manager and sales leadership team nationwide, you will be fostering a vibrant, inclusive environment that fuels creativity, morale, and sales growth. The BDM will serve as a proud ambassador for Fraserway RV within the industry and community. Mandate
· Contributes to the success of the dealerships by supporting the sales and service departments
· Training and managing Business Development Reps (BDR) as needed to create a consumer friendly automotive shopping experience using
· Use approved telephone strategies, inbound control scripts, internet follow up processes, and the Stuker Training soft sell/smart sell approach.
· Train and implement a more extensive customer follow up to include unsold showroom traffic follow up from the prior day,
· Email marketing strategy & sales/service data mining calls that can potentially create solid business opportunities.
· In partnership with the Vice President - Dealerships & Sales and the National Sales Development Manager, achieve expected top-line, bottom-line and market-share results in alignment with short and long-term Dealership and overstretching Fraserway RV Business Objectives.
· All sales activities should be done using the CRM for compliance and accountability.
· Relentless pursuit of excellence in servicing our employees (eNPS) and our customers (cNPS).
Primary Responsibilities
Business Development Strategy:
· Develop and implement strategies to increase lead generation, pipeline development, and revenue growth.
· Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and customer reach.
· Work collaboratively with the National Sales Development Manager and sales teams to align on lead qualification and customer needs to improve conversion rates.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including OEM's, customers, suppliers, and partners.
· Analyze market trends and customer needs to implement effective sales strategies.
· Develop and execute business plans to meet and exceed company growth objectives.
· Working with dealership management teams, develop specific plans to leverage our marketing plans, programs, and CRM initiatives for incremental sales opportunities; effectively utilize sales marketing funds budgets to support achievement of objectives with assigned dealers.
· Work with Implementation team and dealership management to develop training strategies that support the sale of plans and programs and reinforces our value proposition through the delivery of in-dealership and virtual training, sales meetings, in-market workshops and dealer seminars.
· Leverage performance consulting and utilize available tools to monitor and review sales, finance performance, and dealership processes to find opportunities, deliver recommendations and obtain commitment from dealership management to implement recommendations. Review results with ELT and dealership management teams.
· Communicate goals, pace, action plans, and department needs to General Sales Manager or dedicated national training partners.
· Follow the Fraserway RV work plan, establish a clear communication link between the customer and Fraserway RV.
· Teach and maintain strict confidentiality of confidential personal information of our customers in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ( PIPEDA )
· Assist in follow up with acquisition customers as needed and when applicable.
· Manage all CRM activity with sales associates, BDRs and other sales staff.
Team Leadership & Management:
· Oversee day-to-day operations of the call center, ensuring efficient and effective lead generation, outbound calls, and follow-up strategies.
· Implement best practices for call scripts, cold-calling tactics, and handling objections to maximize success.
· Ensure that all customer data is entered accurately and tracked in CRM systems to facilitate follow-ups and reporting.
· Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
· Conduct regular team meetings to set objectives, share updates, and discuss best practices.
· Establish and monitor individual and team KPIs to ensure targets are met, such as lead generation, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
· Implement, train, and coach BDC strategy that creates a sense of urgency and motivates prospects and customers to visit the showroom soon.
· Assist in hiring, coaching, training, and monitoring BDR performance measures and report the "Big Four" contact ratio, appointment set ratio, appointment shown ratio, closing ratio.
Reporting & Analytics:
• Monitor team performance metrics and create regular reports on lead generation activities, sales pipeline, and outcomes.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly BDC reporting
• Oversee that all outbound calls such as (but not limited to):
o No-show, Confirmations
o Show Appointment
o Follow-up
o Task List calls are made in a timely and effective manner
• Utilize analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement within the team and business development process.
• Provide actionable insights to upper management to adjust strategy and refine outreach efforts.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and customer engagement.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:
• Partner with marketing, sales, and product teams to enhance the overall business development process.
• Ensure seamless handoffs of qualified leads to sales representatives for further nurturing and closing.
• Contribute to strategic planning sessions with senior leadership, offering insights on customer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive lead generation and conversion.
Entrance Qualifications
Experiences, Skills & Education
· College Diploma/Certificate
· Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the RV or automotive industry.
· Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to analyze market data and develop effective growth strategies.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and targets.
· Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Experience with CRM systems and call center management software.
· Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven.
· Experience with both inbound and outbound call center operations.
· Knowledge of digital marketing and customer outreach strategies in the RV or automotive sector.
· A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
