Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. SSM's leadership team have intentionally created a workplace culture that puts customers first, and values teamwork, innovation and accountability. SSM has garnered a hard-earned reputation for customer service, quality and reliability. To support its growth, SSM is looking to add an Electrical Assembler to the Production team on our morning shift, 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday -Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret Wiring schematics
  • Ability to interpret Electrical Code and ensure compliance
  • Detail oriented and knows to follow part and component details
  • Monitor production schedule and report anything that may impact schedule either in a positive or negative way
  • Compare job parts received against BOM
  • Review drawings and parts, notifying Engineering of any errors that require correcting
  • Request parts from warehouse
  • Build panels, terminate wiring in panels and print wire tags for electrical department
  • Ensure quality standards and procedures are met and followed
  • Ensure safety policies are met and followed
  • Support continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform continuity checks on panels
  • Mark up electrical drawings and deliver to Engineering for creation of As-built drawings
  • Work with parts department and Engineering to solve parts issues regarding panels
  • Maintain tools, and tool PM sheets in panel shop
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Proven ability to use hand and power tools
  • Good hand eye Coordination
  • Capacity to learn and follow electrical drawings, wiring schematics and bill of materials
  • Ability to plan and execute jobs successfully
  • Experience bending and install rigid and EMT pipe as well as calculating pipe fill and wire size
  • Ability to mount panels, VFDs, filters and devices and install instrumental tubing and devices
  • Experience prepping and installing lights as well as pulling and terminating wire
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Understanding of engineering and electrical principles
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Availability for overtime on weekdays/weekends when required
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience or knowledge of HVAC will be considered an asset
