Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Panel Assembly& Test Technician will be responsible for the assembly, testing and troubleshooting of GPT's standard and custom panels for remote power systems working under direct supervision. This position will be required to build and test product as per defined processes and standards (ISA, CSA, EICex) as required.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assemble, wire and test electrical panels for custom engineered and standard GPT products

• Execute test procedures and support Engineering teams on design optimization

• Execute build plans as per schedule to ensure product on-time delivery

• Diagnose and trouble wiring diagrams and schematics as required

• Create and/or update procedures and work instructions related to electrical panels and components

• Support the integration/production teams when required

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of Electronics/Electrical Technician Diploma or equivalent is preferred

• 2 years of related work experience

• Demonstrated experience working with a variety of control and distribution panels, limiter/converter electronics and wire harnesses

• Able to read, interpret and modify electrical prints and schematics

• Mechanical aptitude is an asset

• Thorough knowledge of current industrial electrical standards

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principals is an asset

• Forklift certification is an asset
