Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to maintain cleanliness and uphold the highest standards of hygiene in our facility. This role is essential in providing guests with a clean, welcoming environment, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or hotel operations is highly valued, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and contribute to our team. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in cleaning, hospitality, and customer service within a professional setting.

Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest amenities and ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to health standards.
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
  • Monitor the condition of public spaces and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces or meeting rooms when required. (moving tables & chairs)
  • Support food service areas by maintaining cleanliness in kitchens or dining spaces if applicable.
  • Follow established health and safety protocols related to food handling, cleaning procedures, and guest interaction.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Shoveling snow if required.
  • Lifting of 50lbs minimum required

Experience

  • Previous experience in cleaning, hospitality, or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations, including food preparation, serving, or food handling, is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as restaurants or hotels can be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and maintaining pristine environments while developing valuable skills in customer service and facility management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.65 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
