Job Summary

We are seeking friendly, organized, and customer-focused Front of House Staff to join our team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for guests, ensuring smooth service operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and experience in the food industry. Prior experience with POS systems such as Square POS is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food service, cash handling, and customer service within a dynamic restaurant environment.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive dining experience
  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems like Square POS, ensuring efficient service
  • Handle cash transactions and perform cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food handling and safety
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the front-of-house area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to provide timely service to all guests
  • Address customer inquiries or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary
  • Assist with setting up dining areas and preparing for service shifts as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance guest experience

Experience

  • Previous experience in restaurant or food service environments preferred, especially in serving or cashiering roles
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills efficiently
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting
  • Experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is considered a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in developing their skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
