Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for a Lifestyle and Program Manager located in Thunder Bay, ON. The Lifestyle and Program Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging lifestyle programs and activities that cater to the physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs of residents. The manager will collaborate with staff and residents while ensuring that programs foster an inclusive, supportive, and vibrant community. Additionally, the role requires scheduling events, liaising with external service providers, maintaining activity resources, and cultivating a positive resident experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in program planning, scheduling, and organizing events that promote wellness, recreation, and community engagement
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to coordinate with residents, families, and team members
  • Problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational abilities to successfully manage diverse tasks and priorities
  • Knowledge or experience in working with older adults or within a retirement or healthcare setting is an asset
  • Relevant educational background in recreation, social work, or a related field is preferred
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of residents
