Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. Prior experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
  • Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
  • Provide patient education on oral health practices and post-treatment care
  • Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
  • Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks related to patient care
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health regulations
  • Support the front desk team as a dental receptionist when needed, including greeting patients and managing check-in/check-out processes

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a solid understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
  • Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD imaging technology for digital impressions or radiographs
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Certification or training in dental assisting is required or highly preferred

Pay: $20.04-$30.00 per hour
